The Visual Remote Module (VRM) is an accessory for the AMB-5010 - the first deactivation solution designed specifically for integration around small, vertical, presentation scanners. The VRM offers added functionality by providing cashiers both audible and visual feedback, helping to ensure reliable deactivation while maximizing through-put at the front-end.

The VRM incorporates a three color LED lighting scheme that notifies cashiers of deactivation accuracy. Illuminated red, green or amber LEDs alert store associates of successful deactivation, as well as failures to deactivate. An easy to use key pad allows the user to set the VRM to specific modes of operation including price check, standby mode, and label reactivation. Additionally, the scan-enable feature prevents unauthorized use by allowing deactivation only after a valid barcode scan.
