Safers provide retailers double security with two forms of protection. First, a safer locks the product in a secure housing utilizing a high strength locking mechanism to prevent thieves from accessing goods. Second, if a safer leaves the store, each Sensormatic safer includes an EAS element that will alarm Sensormatic detection systems. Superior design elements including reinforced sides, internal hinges and two-piece assembly make safers extremely difficult to defeat.

Safer Wide Range Applications

Sensormatic safers can accommodate a variety of shapes and sizes characteristic of widely stolen items. Retailers easily can adapt a safer solution to merchandise ranging from iPod^®s to DVDs to perfumes. Available in three designs - open framed, enclosed and adjustable - safers offer retailers many options for open yet secure merchandise presentations as safer-protected goods can be easily stacked or hung on pegged displays. Constructed out of clear high-grade polycarbonate plastic, safers provide superior protection and optimal merchandising, allowing shoppers to easily view and purchase items.

Backwards Compatibility

Backwards compatible with our current magnetic decouplers, safers are easily integrated into stores that utilize our e-Tag or Ultra•Tag^® detachers. Retailers can select between a 5k Gauss magnetic locking mechanism compatible with the MKD31-BL (e-Tag detacher) or a higher strength 9k Gauss magnetic locking mechanism compatible with our MKD400-BL (Ultra•Tag detacher). The locking mechanisms are interchangeable allowing retailers to easily upgrade to the higher strength lock without replacing their entire safer stock.
