Known Loss Logging is a software application that offers an important new tool to help combat shrink and better protect frequently stolen merchandise. Offered as an add-on to SmartEAS^® UltraLink^®, "Known Loss Logging" software application allows retailers to log data about known losses in their stores.

Combining the UltraLink^® system with a handheld barcode scanner allows employees to log product barcodes associated with empty boxes found within their stores, including the location where the empty boxes were found. Location of defeated EAS hard tags can also be logged.
