Our alarm
management solution is an easy-to-use,
customizable system to ensure employees
are responding to EAS alarms. It helps
retailers preserve the effectiveness
of their systems, prevent non-theft alarms
and reduce their shrink and protect their
profitability.
The solution consists of a small wall-mounted
UltraLink® linked to an acousto-magnetic
EAS detection system at the store entrance,
plus software to collect and transfer
data to a centralized location for reporting.
Collecting the data
At the store level, the time, date and
location of alarms are automatically
logged by the UltraLink®. Additional
data-input by the staff is easy and
provides valuable, real-time information
about who responded and what caused
the alarm. With just a few presses
of the UltraLink®’s keypad, an
employee can move rapidly through a
customized menu on the UltraLink®’s
LCD display. An optional scanner can
quickly capture bar-coded receipts
to capture item level data, and further reduce impact on staff
time and customer inconvenience.
Mining and analyzing the data
The solution’s software transfers
the data to a central location for analysis,
generally at corporate headquarters via
the existing corporate IT network. The
data transfer happens transparently at
customer-specified times. No customer
IT development is needed.
Reporting and Managing
Rather than overload management with
routine performance reports, we provide
exception-based reporting that highlights
issues customers decide are important
to track. The reports are provided
in graphical format, and can be delivered
by email. With this level of business
intelligence, retailers can respond
more quickly to operational inefficiencies
and address problems as they occur.
Smart Diagnostics Software
Provides diagnostic (online/offline)
information for EAS hardware, ensuring
systems are operational and sending
an automatic email alert to store
managers to avoid unnecessary service
calls. The alerts can also be sent
automatically to ADT Service, removing
one step in the maintenance process. |
