ADT OFFERS INVENTORY AND RETURN AUTHORIZATION SOLUTIONS FOR RETAILERS
New Software Based on the NaviStor Platform Provides Retailers with Increased Control and Lower Costs
BOCA RATON, Fla. – June 11, 2007 -- ADT Security Services, a unit of Tyco Fire & Security, today announced the addition of two new software solutions providing retailers with improved inventory control and a better way to manage receiptless returns. Both products help end users to collect more data more efficiently, so that it can be used to improve operations and increase profits.
NaviTrack® Store Inventory allows retailers to collect, organize and store all critical inventory information in one place. It analyses this information, provides alerts and visually identifies transactions that require action. This allows for the evaluation of inventory movement by department, category, SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) or UPC (Universal Product Code), which can help to determine why fluctuations occur and identify loss prevention issues so that they can be quickly acted upon and corrected.
NaviGuest™ Return Authorization allows retailers to develop flexible and appropriate return policies. It lets end users evaluate returns in real-time using a number of different categories including customer, product or cashier. This saves costs by reducing fraudulent return loss and return abuse and measures return to sales conversion rates. Retailers can make return decisions based on their own criteria including return velocity and product value.
Providing retailers with operational data is key to helping them be more efficient and profitable, according to Jeffrey Bean, vice president, ADT Retail Sales and Operations.
“These new product modules provide valuable information on inventory and an essential matrix for real-time return policies,” he said. “We know that both of these areas are critical for retailers and provide a real opportunity for cost savings and increased sales.”
NaviTrack Store Inventory and NaviGuest Return Authorization are part of the Profit Navigation Systems developed by Retail Expert, a retail data analytics firm. The company was purchased earlier this year by Tyco Fire & Security and its products are exclusively sold by ADT Security Services and Tyco business partners around the world.
