ORGANIC SUPERMARKET CHAIN NATURASÍ SELECTS ADT
TO PROTECT ITS PRODUCTS
Madrid, 10 May 2007. The organic supermarket chain NaturaSí has chosen Sensormatic® electronic article surveillance (EAS) systems from ADT, Europe’s leading provider of electronic fire and security solutions, for its Spanish stores.
Tiny tags placed on its organic grocery products and ADT’s Sensormatic® Ultra•Lane pedestals located in the checkout aisles of its stores will help NaturaSí to considerably reduce losses from shoplifting. The system uses Ultra•Max® acousto-magnetic (AM) technology, which offers excellent reliability and the highest levels of detection on the market. In addition, the Ultra•Lane system has been designed specifically for supermarkets and is compact and slimline so as not to obstruct shopping trolleys.
In addition to the Ultra•Lane pedestals, the solution includes deactivators and adhesive tags and will be installed in all branches of the supermarket. NaturaSí, whose revolutionary concept is based on selling products produced by organic farming, recently entered the Spanish market, where it has opened four stores in Madrid. The company, of Italian origin, has an ambitious expansion strategy and plans to open more stores in other cities on the Iberian Peninsula.
