This policy applies to all Tyco Safety Products-Sensormatic employees who deliver technical training on the behalf of the manufacturer. For the purposes of clarity, the word “Instructor” applies to Service Technician Trainers, Product Trainers, Corporate Technical Product Trainers, Certified Field Trainers, and similar titles.
No policy can cover every possible example of misconduct. For this reason, this policy describes general examples. On a case-by-case basis, the Manager of the Tyco Safety Products-Sensormatic Technical Training Services Department shall make a determination whether a violation has occurred. In all cases, a thorough investigation shall be made to determine the facts of a given situation, and take appropriate action in the best interests of trainees, instructors, the Technical Training Services Department, and Tyco Safety Products-Sensormatic.
Instructor Conduct
- Instructors shall conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner at all times.
- Persons who conduct training on the behalf of Tyco Safety Products-Sensormatic are urged to guard their words and actions to prevent even the appearance of impropriety.
- Comments, gestures, or off-color jokes which allude to sex, race, religious affiliation, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin shall not be permitted at any time, including breaks during classes, and after-class functions.
- Profanity or pornography shall not be permitted in or about any Tyco Safety Products-Sensormatic Training Class, Activity, or Training Facility.
Student Conduct
Sensormatic provides training services to several types of students. For the purpose of this document, the term “student” includes, but is not limited to, Tyco Safety Products-Sensormatic employees, employees of Tyco Fire and Safety/ADT, Authorized Sensormatic/American Dynamics Dealers, and end-users.
Instructors shall monitor the conduct of students during classes and training activities. Behaviors, comments, gestures, or off-color jokes which allude to sex, race, religious affiliation, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin shall not be permitted at any time, including breaks during classes, and after-class functions. In the event of such behavior, Instructors shall politely ask the offender to immediately stop, and to refrain from continuing.
If a violation continues, or the Instructor feels the violation is severe, the offending person may be removed from the class. |
